Jambay Lhakhang Drup is Celebrated at the Temple of Jambay Lhakhang!
Bhutan is the country that is best known for its
festivals. There is a wide range of festivals celebrated here. However, there
is just one thing that remains common for all these festivals and this is the
folk dance. This dance is performed by the locals here and they use to wear
colorful masks during such performances. They also sing folk songs during these
celebrations. One such festival is the Jakar
Tshechu Bhutan. This festival is celebrated to commemorate the memories of
the Guru Rinpoche. The Jakar Dzong which is located at the hillock and looking
over the town of Chamkhar, as well as some majestic places located around it,
becomes the venue where this celebration is hosted. During this festival, you
can see those sacred masks worn by Buddhist monks.

- The man behind introducing the tantric form
During the 7th century, the king from
Tibet named as Songtsen Gampo has constructed a hundred temples on a single
day. This is what the legends use to say in this country. Well, the Jambay
Lhakhang which is located at the Bumthang is one of those temples. In this hill
country, the Jambay Lhakhang Drup is
considered as one of the most precious festivals. This celebration is also
considered as a tribute for the Guru Rinpoche. He is the one who brought the
Tantric form for Buddhism in this country.
